Open-air cinema event to meet Istanbulites


Kadıköy Municipality has put on a nostalgic event themed on the 1970s and is screening films at an open air theater. The open air cinema series, which kicked off on Jun. 22, continue to bring residents of the Kadiköy district together. Organized for the third time this year, the open air cinema series will screen six films which premiered last year in five different parks spread over the district. The films "Dedemin Fişi," starring Alper Kul, Erdem Yener, Onur Atilla, Doğa Rutkay and Özge Borak; "Düğün Dernek 2" (Wedding Feast 2), starring Ahmet Kural, Murat Cemcir and Rasim Öztekin, "Toprağın Çocukları" (Sons of Soil), starring Erkan Can, Ufuk Bayraktar and Türkü Turan; "Kocan Kadar Konuş: Diriliş" (Husband Factor: Resurrection), starring Ezgi Mola and Murat Yıldırım; "Kardeşim Benim" (My Brother), starring Murat Boz, Asli Enver and Ahmet Gülhan; and "Nadide Hayat" (Life of Nadide), starring Demet Akbag, Sevil Aki and Batuhan Begimgil will be screened at Doğa, Moda, Fenerbahçe and Kriton Curi parks as well as the garden of Kadıköy Academy.
