The American Hospital's Art Gallery Operation Room is hosting the exhibition, "Sainte-Anne Patterns," which has Fikret Mualla Saygı's patterns drawn while he was staying at Sainte-Anne Hospital for mental diseases in Paris in 1953, 1956 and 1959. An important figure of Turkish art, Saygı drew the patterns in the garden, yard and ward of the hospital with a pencil or blue ink pen. The patterns he drew during these years reflect the calm and stabile state of his illness. Curated by Ilgın Deniz Akseloğlu, the work showcased at the exhibition is compiled from the collections of Ferit Edgü and Metin Deniz. The exhibition is also accompanied by a book titled "Sainte-Anne Patterns," which was edited by Burak Fidan and designed by Okay Karadayılar. The book features Abidin Dino's article about Saygı's Saint-Anne days and Ferit Edgü's essay on the exhibition.When: Until Aug. 30Where: American Hospital Art Gallery
