German electronic music trio to perform in Istanbul

Originating from Berlin, one of the world's most important music outfits, Moderat, consists of German electronic musician Sascha Ring, best known as "Apparat" and Modeselektor members Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary.

Renowned worldwide as creative and productive figures of the current electronic music scene, the trio's union as part of Moderat has brought three successful albums and six EPs so far. Interpreting different genres such as minimal techno, house, bass, glitch, IDM and electronica with their original style, Moderat's musical journey started with their first EP "Auf Kosten der Gesundheit" released in 2002. The trio's following eponymous album that was released in 2009 was defined as "creative and highly catchy" by musical authorities.

Along with their visually and aurally distinctive and highly powerful live performances in parallel with the success of their albums, Moderat was selected as the "The #1 Live Act of The Year" by Resident Advisor, the online electronic music magazine, in the same year. One of the biggest fans of Modeselektor, Radiohead's Thom Yorke selected Moderat as the front band on Radiohead's world tour.

Three best hits on their album, "A New Error," "Rusty Nails" and "Les Grandes Marches" have ranked near the top of the charts. Performing full-house concerts at the world's most important stages and international festivals, Moderat's success continues with the trio's new album "III," which was released in April 2016. The last ring of the chain is defined as a "trinity" by the Berlin-based trio. "III" has already gained critical acclaim as one of the best albums of the year.Where: Zorlu Performing Arts Center - Main TheaterWhen: Nov. 11, at 10 p.m.
