Tree decoration workshop to welcome spring


"Nahıl," which is an old traditional tree decoration art in the Ottoman Empire, used to be one of the most remarkable parts of dashy gateways arranged during the Ottoman festivals, palace weddings and spring festivals. Nahıl, which is the giant artificial ornamental tree, means date palm in Arabic and is actually a reflection of the tree culture dating back to very old times.The Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum will host a nahıl decoration event, which will be the end of the "Tulip and Tulip Era in Art" class within the scope of the Adult Education Program held by the museum.
