Sismanoglio Megaro to screen 'Rakushka'


The Greek Consulate General in Istanbul is holding Contemporary Greek Cinema Days until June at the Sismanoglio Megaro building. The cinema days will offer the chance to watch movies from Argonautes Film Prodeuctions, Sotiris Goritsas, Tasos Bulmetis and Fotini Siskopulu. The movies will have Turkish subtitles and are free.

On May 12, Fotini Siskopulu's film "Rakushka" will be screened. Adapted from Dostoyevsky's "Krotkaya," "Rakuska" tells the story of immigrants in Athens. The 18-year-old Russian cellist Zoya is trying to build a life in Athens and the male goldsmith, Vasilis, with a dark past will try to detain her in his own life.
