SSM to host exhibition 'Thesis-Antithesis-Synthesis' by Selim Turan

After Feyhaman Duran's exhibition, the Sakıp Sabancı Museum is preparing to host a comprehensive exhibition by artist and sculptor Selim Turan, who is one of the prominent figures of Turkish art history. The exhibition will be open to visitors from May 30 to July 31.

The exhibition, called, "Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis," features more than 100 works of the artist who lived his life between the cities of Paris and Istanbul, from 1947 to his death, profoundly affected by the culture influences of both cities.

In the exhibition, the works of Jean Bazaine, Henri Goetz, Léon Zack, Natalie Dumitresco and Alexander Istrati - prominent artists in Paris between 1947 and 1960 - and the works and sculptures of Turkish artists who were living in Paris during that same period, will accompany Turan's works.

Curated by Dr. Necmi Sönmez, the exhibition is the latest personal exhibition by Selim Turan.
