'Shots from Life as Seen by Women' on display


"Shots from Life as Seen by Women" photography contest will be bringing together photographs on life with art lovers. Organized for the 11th time this year by Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, the exhibition of the contest will be displayed at the International Terminal of Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport between June 19 and July 2. 44 works, which have come in at the contest, have won honorable mention awarda and are found worthy of displaying will be presented at the exhibition.

Bringing together women photography fans around the "About Life" theme this year, the contest selected Demet Çevrim's "Yolcu" ("Passenger") as the winner, followed by "Sherbet" of Banu Cihan and "Kömür" ("Coal") of Nazik Nazan Köse Yılmaz. Didem Sevinç Beyazıt, Fatma Salt and Zeyneb Bahtiyar won the honorary mention awards. A total of 897 contestants applied to the contest, which aims to contribute socially and culturally to women's development with 6,501 photographs.
