Different tones meet at Babylon this week


Sattas, the pioneer of reggae in Turkey, will be at Babylon x Bomontiada yard on Aug. 19 at 9:30 p.m. Having released Turkey's first reggae album in 2012, the band is comprised of musicians from different genres. Taking the stage at music festivals around Turkey, they also performed at many international festivals such as Montreal Jazz Festival in Canada, Sziget in Hungary, Ruhr Reggae Festival in Germany, Rototom Reggae Festival in Spain and Abidjan Reggae Festival in COte D'ivoire. Sattas released their EP named "Just me?"last March and they are working on their second album.

Bringing jazz, rock and dance together, İlhan Erşahin's Istanbul Sessions will be a guest at the Midnight Session on Aug. 19 at 11:59 p.m. The Istanbul Sessions project, which was started by İlhan Erşahin in 2008, has performed on many stages so far, from the most prestigious festivals of Turkey and Europe to Brazil and New York's Summerstage.
