Dosso Dossi Fashion Show is known for bringing world-renowned models to Turkey. In the past, names as big as Isabeli Fontana, Erin Heatherton, Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima and Irina Shayk have hit the podium as part of the fashion show. And this year, the star-studded theme only continues as Brazilian super model Alessandra Ambrosia will take the podium at Dosso Dossi Fashion Show in Antalya on Jan. 9. The organizers of the fashion show are building a special podium for the top model, an Obelisk, in Antalya.The 19th Dosso Dossi Fashion Show, which will take place from Jan. 8 to Jan. 13 at Antalya Expo Center, will feature the 2015 spring and summer designs of four different brands. The designs will be introduced with 50 models. Standing out for their designs, as well as the top models featuring in their shows, Dosso Dossi Chairman of Board Hikmet Eraslan said they are inspired by squares, an indispensable part of Mediterranean way of life in Italy's famous coastal town Portofino. He stated that the preparations for the podium have already kicked off, adding, "We are building a 'Fashion City' for the 19th edition of our fashion show." He noted that they will bring fashion devotees together in their "Fashion City," which is inspired by the classic Italian style. He said the podium will mirror the Mediterranean coastal style and will also feature an obelisk, a common symbol in a variety of cultures. "The Fashion City is surrounded by Mediterranean style buildings, hotels, cafes, stores and houses and it will be completed with street performances," Eraslan concluded.
