The 6th Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival will take place from Aug. 7-13 in Istanbul with eight countries participating. Organized by the Laleli Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (LASİAD) under the motto "Laleli: the Golden Key of Trade," the festival will take place in Istanbul's Laleli neighborhood, an area that is largely devoted to export activities. The area has been one of Istanbul's dynamic and modern trade centers for years, despite the ever-changing global economic conditions.The trade contacts made as a result of the Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival have reached several million dollars in recent years. Established in 2012, the festival gathers hundreds of businesses active in the Laleli neighborhood where they learn more effective measures of production, marketing and sales channels, increasing export volume and providing foreign exchange earnings. This year, a total of 250 buyers from Russia, Iran, Poland, Serbia, Nigeria, Lebanon and Cameroon will visit the festival where they will have a chance to get first-hand experience in Laleli's textile production, at the heart of Turkey's textile industry. The main activity of the festival will allow buyers to come together with producers. The organizers of the event will take buyers who came from all around the world on a tour of Istanbul, as well.

In previous years, the festival hosted guests from various countries like Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Sudan, Nigeria, Iran, Senegal, Brazil, Pakistan, India, China, South Africa, Lebanon and Ghana. Many brands will be introduced at stands and various discounts will be offered to costumers during the festival. It is also a chance to explore alternative ways to open up Turkey's export industry to further possibilities. As in previous editions, the fashion show is expected to continue this year.
