Although there are many ways for companies to introduce themselves and their products to the world thanks to the digital age, the İEF continues to make improvements. Today, fairs mostly focus on niche markets. We had been organizing nearly 30 different fairs. However, we decided to organize the İzmir Fair in order to improve fairs organized in İzmir."Many visual shows will take place during festivals.Kocaoğlu said they will organize design contests starting from 2016 in order for the İEF to become a global brand. "The developments in information technology created a global world. We want to add new content to the İzmir International Fair to make it keep up with the ever-changing era," Kocaoğlu said, adding that an international youth design contest will be held as a part of the fair in the upcoming years. "We will turn our fair into a festival for youth," said the mayor. He added that they will change many things in the organization of the fair starting in 2016, and claimed the fair will grow and continue to renew itself in the following years. He underscored that İEF will be a dynamic fair, and continued: "We invite all the people of İzmir to the İzmir International Fair, which has a very important place in the independence of our country, to share the joy.
