Eximbank to open more branches
Turkish Eximbank is set to increase the number of its branches in an attempt to support all 65,000 exporters around Turkey.
Eximbank General Manager Adnan Yıldırım announced, "We will soon increase the number of our branches and offer firsthand service to our exporters. We predict our support will become more widespread after this stage."
Yıldırım came together with exporters at a contact meeting held by İzmir's Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone and told them about the opportunities Eximbank offers.
Stressing that Turkish Eximbank ranks second after South Korean Eximbank among other export-import banks in the world in terms of the rate of financing exports, Yıldırım said it gives support to 26 percent of Turkey's exporters at the moment. "We aim to outperform South Korea by the end of 2016 and replace it in the first ranks," he added.
Yıldırım underlined that the loans Turkish Eximbank offers to exporters will be provided firsthand to make them more widespread, adding that the bank is currently supporting exporters through the Turkish banking system. So, Eximbank aims to directly reach out to exporters by increasing the number of its branches as soon as possible. This is an attempt to work with all 65,000 exporters in Turkey and enable them to benefit from Eximbank's opportunities.
