Turkish chefs cook tasty seafood at World Culinary Olympics


The chefs of "Türkiye Lezzet Hareketi" (Turkey's Taste Movement) will compete at Germany's World Culinary Olympics, scheduled to be held between Oct. 22-25 in Erfurt, where the team under the name "EuroTurk Chefs Culinary Team" will include European and Turkish cooks for the first time. The members of Turkey's Taste Movement presented a special seafood menu that they will enter at the Culinary Olympics.Sinan Kızıltan of Kılıç Holding, a team sponsor, said that they consider this a social responsibility project for the company, and the competition will offer a chance to introduce Turkish gastronomy and the seafood sector to more of the world. Kızıltan stressed his trust in the Turkish chefs that will compete at the Olympics, and said, "Good food is made with good ingredients. We believe that Kılıç seafood products, which are prepared in high quality before being presented to the consumers, will turn into masterpieces in the hands of these talented chefs. I would like to say good luck to all our chefs in the competition."The fifth World Culinary Olympics will bring together gourmets, gastronomes and chefs from around the world. In 18 glass kitchens, more than 2,000 chefs from over 50 countries will prepare more than 7,000 fresh menus, and turn the Erfurt exhibition halls into the largest restaurant in the world. The presale of the menus is already booming, and some teams were sold out right from the start. Since premiering in 1900, the Culinary Olympics is considered a trendsetter. Every event since then has surpassed their predecessor in attractiveness and size.
