Indulge yourself at Istanbul's Chocolate Fest next weekend


There will be chocolate delicacies galore at Istanbul's upcoming Chocolate Festival set to be held at Maçka Park, which for two days, will be the ultimate address for artisan chocolates, demonstrations and workshops on topics such as the life cycle of a cacao plant.From Oct. 30-31, the two-day event will introduce an exhibition describing the history of chocolate accompanied by live Latin music and performances.Guests will discover all they ever wanted to know about chocolate from the experts. Whether you prefer white chocolate or bitter sweet or classic milk chocolate, your taste buds will be thanking you. There will even be a delicious chocolate fondue fountain for the guests. The event will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.In Turkey, chocolate production dates back to the early Republic period. The first chocolate production facility was set up in Istanbul's Feriköy neighborhood in 1927 by Nestle, three years after the proclamation of the Republic.
