Beşiktaş came through a testing Europa League encounter with Liverpool in Istanbul to reach the Europa League Round of 16 on Thursday.

The win came through penalties, after Tolgay Arslan scored a goal in the 74th minute to tie up the aggregate score at 1-1.

Beşiktaş lost the first leg 1-0, which was played in Anfield last week but came back strong to defeat Liverpool on their home field.
