Fenerbahçe football team manager İsmail Kartal resigned from his post after the last match of the 2014-2015 season against Kasımpaşa.The team finished the league at the second place with 74 points, behind three points of champion Galatasaray. Last year, Fenerbahçe had managed to win the title with 74 points.Following their victory against Kasımpaşa with 2-0, Kartal announced his decision to resign at the press conference.Kartal stated that he asked club chairman Aziz Yıldırım to quit during a meeting yesterday, and his request was accepted. Kartal added that he also asked to quit 1.5 months earlier, however, Yıldırım asked him to continue, while at the same time he told his staff that he decided to quit even if they win the title.Kartal stated that his only regret is their failure to win the championship as Fenerbahçe football team had a very good season.
