Aggressive coach Pereira expels combustible Fenerbahçe captain


Vitor Pereira, the new manager of Fenerbahçe, came to the fore on Sunday by parting team's ways with captain Emre Belözoğlu, a star regarded as one of the integral parts of the team. The threat cost Belözoğlu a one-game suspension. During a dispute with Sabri Sarıoğlu in a derby game played in the 2008-2009 season against his former team Galatasaray, the experienced footballer Belözoğlu even managed to fall out with his own team-mates on the pitch.Belözoğlu also quarreled with Didier Zokora in a Trabzonspor game in the 2011-2012 season. Zokora to legal action on the grounds that Belözoğlu used a racist slur against him and he was given a two-and-a-half-month suspended prison sentence. Additionally, having argued with Beşiktaş's former coach Slaven Bilic on the pitch, Belözoğlu quarreled with Beşiktaş fans.
