Fenerbahçe striker Moussa Sow says teary farewell
Fenerbahçe forward Moussa Sow completed his move to Emirati club Al-Ahli on Friday. The Senegalese player said goodbye to the President Aziz Yıldırım and the club administarors and bursted into tears. Yıldırım gave solace to Sow by hugging him. The Istanbul side announced that the clubs agreed on terms over 29-year-old Sow's move with Al-Ahli paying $18 million as a transfer fee. "Upon the player's request, we accepted the offer of the Dubai club executives and the clubs agreed in principle. In compliance with the agreement, $18 million will be paid for our club as a transfer fee and the player will get $1.1 million," Fenerbahçe said in a statement.It is reported that Al-Ahli should deliver their commitments by Aug. 31, the deadline for summer transfers. Sow will say goodbye to Fenerbahçe fans on Sunday before the Super League match against Antalyaspor at Fenerbahçe's Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium. Having joined Fenerbahçe in January 2012 from French club Lille, Sow scored 60 goals and produced 29 assists in 148 appearances. Able to play as second striker or wing forward on the left side, the Senegalese international won the Spor Toto Super League title in 2014 and two consecutive Turkish Cup titles in 2012 and 2013.
