Turan overhead kick the highlight as Barca extends unbeaten run

Barcelona crushed Getafe 6-0 at the Camp Nou to make history yet again by extending their already unprecedented 36 match unbeaten run to 37 games. Lionel Messi and Neymar were fantastic as has come to be expected but there was another hero worthy of praise - Arda Turan. The Turkish winger started for Barca and provided Lionel Messi with an assist for the fourth goal just before the half-time whistle. Turan ended up getting on the scoresheet himself in the second half when he hit the back of the net with a bicycle kick just outside the six-yard box. It is also worth noting that the 29-year-old made 97 percent of his passes - the highest in the game. Barcelona have now won all 15 games in which Turan has played in for Barcelona and is nearing in on Alex Song's record for most consecutive wins in the league for a new transfer (12) - Turan is currently on 11 consecutive league wins. Turan has scored four goals and provided two assists for Barca since making his debut against Espanyol in January."We are in a favorable position," said Barcelona manager Luis Enrique. "When we are in-sync and quick to circulate the ball, it's tough to stop us. This team is one-of-a-kind, different from the rest. It makes winning like this look easy.""We didn't have a chance," said Getafe coach Fran Escriba, whose team hasn't won in nine rounds. "The game was lost from 2-0.""We are competing with Barcelona and Real Madrid, who both have great squads," said Atletico Madrid stayed eight points behind the defending champions in second place after a 3-0 victory over Deportivo La Coruna.Atletico coach Diego Simeone. "We can come out on top (in La Liga) like two years ago, or we can finish second like we are now."
