Italian top football division Serie A club Inter Milan announced Wednesday that they had signed Turkish international Caner Erkin.

The Milanese club stated on their website that they agreed to sign Fenerbahçe's 27-year-old left-winger for three years.

Fenerbahçe veteran Erkin's contract expired at the end of this season.

Caner's ambitious, industrious playing style on both offense and defense has drawn praise.

He has made 46 international appearances for Turkey.Caner Erkin joined Fenerbahçe in July 2010. Before his six-year spell at Fenerbahçe, he played for Manisaspor, CSKA Moscow, and Galatasaray.

The Turkish left back scored 16 goals and chipped in 48 assists in 213 matches for Fenerbahçe and helped the team won two Spor Toto Super League titles in 2011 and 2014.
