Report: Man United ready to offer $27M for Beşiktaş star Talisca

Brazilian star Anderson Talisca, who is on loan to Beşiktaş from Portuguese side Benfica, has had a fantastic season so far, attracting the attention of top European clubs. Turkish sports radio station "Radyospor" host Levent Ümit Erol recently shared a video on his Twitter account, claiming that English side Manchester United have approached Benfica with an offer for Talisca.

Talisca is currently on loan at Beşiktaş, and the reigning Turkish champions have the option to extend his temporary stay. Benfica, however, have put a $27 million release clause to the Brazilian's contract. Though Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho and Talisca share the same agent, Jorge Mendes, and the player has been on the Special One's radar since his Chelsea days, there is one problem that could derail any potential deal. The United boss praised the 23-year-old, but also revealed that the reason a Premier League club has not picked him up may be because the U.K. has not given him a work permit.

Speaking to a Portuguese broadcaster TVI24 in 2014, Mourinho had said, "I think Benfica hired well. They say Talisca is unknown, but that's because he's not in England since he doesn't have a work permit. If he had one, he would be here!"Talisca has not played for the Brazil national team, thus he would require the U.K. Home Office to issue him a special permit on the basis of being a talent capable of contributing to football in England. The powerful attacking midfielder looks like he has reached his prime. He has directly contributed to 20 goals this season with Beşiktaş, with 16 goals and four assists. And even more impressive, no other player has been involved in more scores than him in the Europa League group stages with four goals and two assists.
