17-year-old goalkeeper Özer named in Turkish squad


Turkish national football team's 30-man draft squad for the upcoming international fixture has been announced by the Turkish Football Federation on Thursday.

The Crescent Stars will face Macedonia in a friendly match on June 5, then will take on Kosovo in a World Cup qualifier on June 11.

A 17-year-old goalkeeper Berke Özer from football club Altınordu, who play in Turkey's second professional league, was the highlight of Turkish manager Fatih Terim's list of players.

Berke Özer, who was born in 2000, is a U17 international and has two professional matches under his belt.

Yusuf Yazıcı and Emre Akbaba are also first-timers in the squad.
