Burak Yılmaz returns to Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor Wednesday announced the signing of Turkish international striker Burak Yılmaz from Chinese Super League side Beijing Guo'an on a reported three-year contract. Yılmaz, 32, who has previously played for all four of Turkey's four powerhouses - Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor - moved to Galatasaray in 2012.

At Galatasaray, he scored 82 goals in 141 appearances and helped the team win two league titles. The two-time top scorer of the Turkish league has scored 23 goals for the Turkish national team after making his national debut in 2006. Yılmaz enjoyed an impressive first year with Galatasaray and registered eight goals in the Champions League. That haul included a winner against Manchester United in November, a hat-trick in Cluj and goals in both legs of the knockout-round victory over Schalke.

The striker had become the latest in a long list of high-profile names to join the Chinese Super League, with the booming Asian division having made a huge impact on the global transfer market two years ago.
