After making a flying start to this year's Super League campaign, a rejuvenated Galatasaray continued their form as they thrashed Osmanlıspor 3-1 in Ankara Saturday.

After a busy transfer season and a number of high-profile signings, Galatasaray's overhauled squad look menacing and ready for a shot at the title. With two back to back wins, the Lions under fire coach Igor Tudor will now breathe a sigh of relief.

After the match, Tudor said: "I am not resentful. In the days to come, the fans will have more opportunities to applaud this team. It will take some time for Belhanda to keep up with his teammates. But, if everyone plays an active role and help each other there will be no problem. And that's what I want."

With the win, Galatasaray maintained their first-week lead. Like last week, their new signings shined once more, especially Bafetimbi Gomis, who has scored three goals in the first two weeks.

Galatasaray Chairman Dursun Özbek reminded the fans, "I said Gomis was as good as Lucas Podolski. Now, he has proved it."

In other matches on Saturday, last year's runners-up Medipol Başakşehir were stunned by Kardemir Karabükspor (3-1), Bursaspor edged past hosts Aytemiz Alanyaspor 3-2, and Sivasspor cruised past Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor 2-0.

Earlier on Friday, the Galatasaray's biggest rivals and title defenders, Beşiktaş was held 2-2 by Kasımpaşa.
