Beşiktaş welcomes first-timer Sarpsborg, playing their first group stage fixture. Beşiktaş finished fourth in Turkey last season while Sarpsborg was third in Norway in 2017.

The other Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe will be hosted by Dinamo Zagreb. Both teams will meet for first time in UEFA competition. The host's record in four UEFA games versus Turkish sides is 1-1-2. Dinamo won domestic double in Croatia last season.

Fenerbahçe was league and cup runners-up in Turkey. Additionally, first-timer Akhisarspor will host Krasnodar in its first match in the organization. The team qualified as 2017-18 Turkish Cup winner while Krasnodar finished fourth in Russia last season.
