Fugitives who illegally wiretapped Erdoğan arrested in Romania


President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that two of the Gülen movement members, who placed a bug into then Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's office have been arrested in Romania in the recent days.Addressing businessmen in the northwestern Anatolian city of Bursa, Erdoğan said, "The two fugitives first fled to Croatia and Hungary then got arrested in Romania. The deportation process is ongoing, they will be in Turkey as soon as possible."An Istanbul court had issued arrest warrants for three fugitive suspects in the case on the illegal wiretapping of Erdoğan's office on Wednesday.The suspects are accused of eavesdropping on Turkey's top officials and of disclosing information of a highly sensitive nature, as well as "forming an organization to commit a crime and being a member of this organization," "violating privacy," "illegally seizing personal information" and "forgery of official documents."
