Georgian woman captured sneaking into Turkey in suitcase

A 22-year-old Georgian woman has been captured as she was being smuggled into Turkey inside a large suitcase. The one-of-a-kind act of infiltration was discovered by customs officials who had suspicions about a Georgian national waiting to cross into Turkey through the Sarp border crossing in the northeastern Turkish city of Artvin. When the suitcase was opened, D.K., whose initials were the only details revealed, was found crammed inside. The woman and her accomplice were deported after their detention. She told police she hid in the suitcase to avoid detection, as there was an access ban on her due to a past conviction in Turkey.
