All public exams in the last five years will be investigated


Following cheating allegations and investigations in public exams by candidates linked with the Gülen Movement, especially in 2010 Public Personnel Selection Exam, all public exams conducted in 2010-2015 period will be investigated.Turkey's Anadolu Agency reported that entrance exams of military and police education facilities and Ministry of Justice personnel exams will be primarily investigated by the police.The statements of the suspects in current police investigation, along with the reports and analyses prepared by Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), Gendarmarie, Police, Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) will be carefully examined. The results of suspicious candidates will be compared with the results from other years, and possible relations of these candidates with the current suspects will be investigated.Meanwhile, police officials have stated that around 1,500 of the total 3,500 total suspects are primary suspects, and the rest are connected with the Gülen-linked organization dubbed as the "parallel structure."The Gülen Movement is being accused of leaking public exam booklets to its members via their connections in related institutions in order increase its influence in public institutions.
