A 22 year-old man killed his one year elder brother on Monday evening with a hunting rifle after he saw him hitting his girlfriend. The incident took place in Turkey's Zonguldak province.Brothers Ferdi and Tuğhan Aker were reportedly at home with their girlfriends prior to the murder. The 22 year-old Tuğhan reportedly went hunting in the forest near their house, leaving the other three at home. It was at this point that the 23 year-old brother Ferdi Aker started to have an argument with his girlfriend G.O. which quickly escalated into physical violence. Ferdi Aker's girlfriend interfered between the couple, trying to stop G.O. from being hit, but she got her share as Ferdi Aker also hit her. Tuğhan Aker eventually got home, and after his girlfriend told him of the beating incident, he got very mad, as a result of which he shot his elder brother, killing him on the spot. The girlfriend G.O. was slightly wounded in the incident, but her state of health has been reported to be well. Tuğhan Aker who fled the scene of the incident was later on caught by gendarmerie forces.
