Traces of DNA belonging to suspected neo-Nazi terrorist Uwe Boehnhardt of the National Socialist Underground (NSU), accused of killing eight Turks have been found in a wooded area at the final resting place of a young German girl who went missing more than 15 years ago, police announced. The revelation comes 12 years after the conviction of a mentally ill Turkish man for the murder, and a few months after the discovery of the body. Ulvi Kulaç, a German citizen of Turkish origin, was convicted of the murder of the victim, Peggy, in 2004. His conviction was thrown out in 2014 when it was revealed that he was forced to make false confessions. Whether the DNA find provides a link between terrorists from and the disappearance of 9-year-old Peggy Knobloch in 2001 remains to be seen.
