Police in Turkey's northern Samsun province have detained three suspects who produced explosives for Daesh suicide attackers in Iraq, reports said on Friday.

The suspects were detained after an anti-terror investigation was launched by the chief public prosecutor's office of Turkey's western Sakarya province, which found out that the men were involved in bomb-making for the terrorist organization.

The three men, identified by initials S.A.S.A.T, M.A.S.A.T and M.A.S.A.T, are reportedly brothers from the Iraqi city of Mosul, who went to northern Samsun province upon orders by Daesh.

The suspects were transferred to the court after health checkups, reports said.Meanwhile in Istanbul, court ordered the arrest of five Daesh suspects, including a senior figure of Tajik origin for recruiting and transferring terrorists for Daesh in Syria.

Turkey has detained over 5,000 Daesh suspects and deported over 3,290 foreign terrorist fighters from 95 countries and refused more than 38,269 individuals' entry to Turkey in its fight against Daesh. Daesh is responsible for a string of terror attacks in Ankara and Istanbul, as well as cross-border fire from Syria that has killed a number of residents in Turkish border towns over the last year.

According to Turkey's Justice Ministry, at least 780 people, including 350 foreigners, remain in detention — some of whom have been convicted — for suspected links to the Daesh terrorist group.
