Turkish officials caught 10 puppies being snuck across Turkey's northwestern Kapıkule Border Gate—in an unusually cute smuggling operation.

The unnamed smuggler planned to sell the puppies in pet shops, according to information provided by the Directorate of Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence.

The 10 pups, all of different breeds, were being transported in cloth bags.

The puppies were reportedly delivered to safe care after their recovery.
