6 arrested in connection to 15-day robbery

Police in the Turkish capital Ankara apprehended a gang of six men after they robbed everything inside an unused building for 15 days without drawing any attention.

Police sources said the building, owned by a foundation, was empty before its official opening as a dormitory, and the suspects removed everything from beds to heaters fitted on the walls.

They told inquiring neighbors that they were "renovating" the building.

Police found stolen items the suspects sold to furniture sellers, while work was underway to clean the building as the suspects had defecated almost everywhere in the building according to Anadolu Agency.
