10 Daesh suspects arrested in northern Turkey's Samsun

Ten suspected members of Daesh terrorist group were arrested in northern Turkey on Tuesday, according to a security source.

Police launched simultaneous raids on several addresses in Samsun province, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.

The suspects, including nine Iraqi nationals, were arrested during the raids.

Security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to clear Daesh terrorists from Turkey with almost daily operations as well as two major campaigns in northern Syria driving terrorist groups away from the border.

More than 300 people lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the terror organization has targeted civilians and security forces in suicide bomb, rocket, and gun attacks.
