Customs officials at Istanbul's International Atatürk Airport found 6.5 kilograms of cocaine hidden in clothes in the suitcase of a passenger travelling from Brazil to Turkey.

The officials were tipped off before the arrival of the Brazilian national, according to reports.

The person, identified only as A.S.L, was detained after he ignored the suitcase and immediately walked towards the exit.

The individual was arrested and the cocaine, said to be worth TL 2 million ($447,000), was seized.
