The body of Leyla Aydemir, a 4-year-old girl who went missing on June 15 in the eastern city of Ağrı, was found yesterday.

The girl was visiting her grandfather's village in Ağrı with her family and disappeared while playing outside.

Search and rescue crews were mobilized and had diligently been searching the vast rural area to locate her since the day she disappeared.

Authorities had also dispelled rumors that the girl was kidnapped.

The circumstances regarding her death is not clear.
