A court in the capital Ankara yesterday handed down aggravated life sentences and life sentences for three defendants in a case over a PKK attack in the capital Ankara on March 13, 2016.

Six other defendants were sentenced to prison terms between three to 12 years while a separate trial will be held for fugitive PKK leaders.

Thirty-six people were killed when two militants blew up a bomb-laden car at a busy bus stop in Güvenpark, a park at the heart of the capital.
