Istanbul's funicular railway connecting the districts of Taksim and Kabataş was out of order on Tuesday. The breakdown reportedly started at around 7.20 am in the morning. Normal services are expected to resume in the evening hours.

As a result, rail replacement buses running between Taksim and Kabataş have been provided.
