Istanbul's Formula One track finds new life

Istanbul Park, which once hosted Formula One races, will be repurposed for another business involving cars - an outdoors car dealership touted as the largest in Turkey. Used cars will be put on sale at the 70-acre venue and a new marketplace for used cars, which will be inaugurated on Sept. 9, will accommodate more than 3,000 cars. It is not clear whether the potential customers can test drive the used cars they plan to purchase on the track where the likes of Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel once competed in one of the most prestigious auto racing events in the world. The venue already hosts promotional events by top brands like Porsche, which showcases its new models to Turkish buyers who can test drive the vehicles on the track.
