A man praying Maghrib prayer (evening prayer) was wounded on Thursday after his gun accidentally went off at a restaurant in Istanbul's Ümraniye district.

According to reports, the man identified as E.A., who is a lawyer and carries a registered gun, broke his fast at a restaurant in Ümraniye and went to the restaurant's masjid to pray.

As he was trying to put the gun in place while he was praying, it went off, injuring E.A. in the leg.

The man was rushed to the hospital for treatment and is reportedly in good condition.
