Ottoman sultan in the spotlight with symposium, exhibition

Abdülhamid II, the sultan credited with a brief revival of Ottoman Empire as it was on the brink of collapse, is being remembered with a symposium and an exhibition that started in Istanbul yesterday. The event at Dolmabahçe Palace will run until Sept. 25.
