After a long lukewarm spell with little precipitation, Istanbul is likely to see some snowfall tomorrow.

The state-run meteorology service announced yesterday that rainfall this afternoon will turn into rainstorms early tomorrow and snowfall in the late hours of Wednesday.

Yet, it will be a brief spell as snowfall is expected to end early Thursday although temperatures will remain freezing and below zero on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
