A road in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district between Dolmabahçe Palace and Vodafone Park collapsed on Friday, leaving a hole 2 meters in diameter.

No one was reported injured in the incident, but authorities advised residents to avoid the area as rush-hour traffic will be worse than usual.

Police closed off the road in the direction of Karaköy and roadwork teams are working to address the issue.
