PKK ditches lead to new exodus from Sur
Hundreds of people have begun to flee the conflict-ridden Sur district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır after PKK terrorists turned five more neighborhoods into warzones, digging ditches and setting up barricades.
Many families left their homes behind, having seen that the PKK set up barricades and new ditches in their neighborhoods. Many locals were furious at the PKK for crippling daily life in the region and taking the war into the streets. Many families have fled the district, only able to take some of their belongings.
Speaking to a Turkish TV channel while fleeing the region, a local said: "We are in a miserable situation. We have nowhere to go. We bear the burden. They told us to evacuate after ditches were dug. Enough. We want this war to end."

Public order has become nonexistent and security forces continue to intervene.Intelligence units have also discovered that PKK terrorists have hired Serbian-national snipers to assassinate senior level military officials in several districts in the southeastern provinces. While three of eight snipers in Sur were killed, another Serbian-national sniper was also killed in the Cizre district of Şırnak province on Wednesday.
United States Ambassador to Turkey John Bass made a statement on Thursday expressing condolences to the relatives of the four security officers killed in an attack in the Sur district on Wednesday. The statement said, "We call again on the PKK to cease their senseless, brutal attacks, and recall that it was the PKK's resumption of violence which is the root cause of the trauma affecting so many citizens of Turkey." The PKK has reported declared that southeastern Siirt province, as well as Batman, have been declared as "traitors" by the PKK due to cooperation by locals with security forces, revealing the plans of the terrorist organization.
