South Korea: The most vacation-deprived country with 8.6 days

The honor of being the most 'vacation-deprived' citizens of the world goes to South Korea, according to a survey conducted by the global traveling site Expedia. South Koreans get 8.6 days off each year, while working people get an average of 20 vacation days worldwide.

Expedia conducted its survey on 8,000 employees from 24 different countries. The survey revealed that 60 percent of South Koreans use only a small portion of their vacation, or they do not use it at all.

Denmark, France, Germany, and Spain have the highest number of vacation days, with 27 days each, while this figure falls to half this number in North America and Asia Pacific, the survey indicated.
