Uşak home to world's oldest black pine

Regarded as the world's oldest black pine, the monumental tree in Uşak's Banaz district attracts hundreds of local and international tourists. The 11-meter tree, situated 1.87 meters above sea level within the district's Bahadır village, is 9.6 meters wide, has a diameter of 3 meters, and is reportedly between 800 and 1,000 years old. In previous years, the tree was put under the protection of the Ministry of Forestry and registered as the world's oldest black pine. Tourists can take a forest trip in a mountainous area while they are heading to see the giant tree. İsmail Atalay, the president of the Handline Fishing Federation, along with other members of the federation captured the region's natural beauty during their visit. After an exciting two-hour trip from the Banaz district, the group was finally able to see the tree. They said they were amazed by its gigantic size and charming beauty.
