A woman in the German region of Allgaeu on Sunday refused to change her clocks in a much-touted protest against daylight savings time that has seen her go to court multiple times over a period of 25 years, a Bavarian broadcaster reported.Ute Neu, a 59-year-old mother of four, initially launched the protest in 1990 because she thought forcing her young children out of bed an hour earlier disrupted their routine, according to Bayerischer Rundfunk.When she started bringing her children to school an hour late every day, she was forced to attend a court session, but a judge dismissed the case, which was attracting widespread media attention.When she repeated the protest a year later, Neu was forced to pay a fine of about 1,000 marks (approximately 550 dollars).Neu's protest efforts against the regulation - which involved the founding of a campaighn group and the gathering of signatures - has not yielded any results thus far.Daylight savings time is observed from the last Sunday in March (0100 GMT) to the last Sunday in October (0200 GMT).
