Campaign aims to encourage production of toys for disabled

An online campaign named "Toy Like Me," initiated on change.org calls on the global toy industry to include disability in the toy box.The campaign's aim, which is pioneered by three English mothers who have disabled children, is explained by them: "There is more than 150 million disabled children worldwide. These kids are coming into the world where they are excluded or misrepresented by the industry that is normally supposed to create their entertainment, the objects that increase their development, the starting blocks of life, which are toys. Where are the wheelchair wizards, the blind fairies, genies with hearing aids and princesses with walking frames? So we started the 'Toy Like Me' campaign to make manufacturers hear our voice."As they seek to reach their goal by collecting 50,000 signatures on change.org, and have created a Facebook fan page, which has already become popular, many people around the world have started to share their amateur work on social media accounts.
