REW Istanbul's 11th International Recycling, Environmental Technologies and Waste Management Trade Fair will introduce the newest products, technologies and applications in the fields of green energy, solid waste, waste water and gas from June 11-13. Organized by İFO Fuarcılık and supported by the Environment and Urban Development Ministry, the fair is expecting to host around 12,000 local and international professionals and 300 companies from 27 countries.First introduced last year, "waste ticketing" will be implemented again at REW Istanbul. This practice aims to draw attention to zero-waste policies, and visitors can use glass, plastic and paper waste as a ticket to gain admission.Advanced technologies shaping the future of sustainable development will also be on display at the fair. REW Istanbul will presumably be this year's most important gathering in the environment technologies industry, which has become an active market globally after recent legal regulations.Managing Director of İFO Fuarcılık Zekeriya Aytemur said in a press release, "The environmental technologies sector in Turkey will become an expanding market thanks to the National Recycling Strategy and Action Plan, new environmental permit and license regulations and new waste management regulations." Aytemur said all stakeholders with legal obligations in environmental investments will access the newest technologies and necessary information at the fair. Aytemur added that REW Istanbul will be this year's most important event for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and heavy industry organizations that are obliged to make environmental investments due to their production activities, municipal departments responsible for waste management, organized industrial zones, related machinery and equipment manufacturers and investors planning to do business in this field.Initiated by İFO Fuarcılık for the first time in 2005, REW Istanbul is regarded as Eurasia's most significant environmental gathering.
