Last Saturday, İsmail Tuncay Yılmaz and Duygu Akan got married in a hot-air balloon in Turkey's famous tourism district of Göreme, located in the historical Cappadocia area. The couple was 1,000 meters above the ground when saying, "I do" to each other. The balloon was waiting for the couple at the entrance of Kılıçlar Valley and took off with marriage witnesses and registrar Yasin Temel.The marriage certificate was given to the bride, and the couple took photos with a fabulous view to remember the moment. Yılmaz said they preferred to get married in a unique venue and chose the balloon. He recommended for other couples to get married in hot-air balloons as well. "We were afraid of it at first, but it was a safe flight. We recommend everyone to get married in it," he said. Akan said that getting married in a hot-air balloon made the wedding ceremony more exciting. "It was enthralling to say 'yes' while flying in a hot-air balloon. I cannot express my excitement. It was safe and very beautiful," she said.
